The Universal hardness tester is actually a comprehensive testing instruments based on ISO and ASTM standards, allowing users to conduct Rockwell, Vickers and Brinell hardness tests on the same instruments. The universal hardness tester is tested based on Rockwell, Brinell, and Vickers principles rather than using the conversion relationship of the hardness system to derive multiple hardness values.
Three hardness scales suitable for measuring workpieces
The HB Brinell hardness scale is suitable for measuring the hardness of cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, and various annealed and tempered steels. It is not suitable for measuring samples or workpieces that are too hard, too small, too thin, and do not allow large indentations on the surface.
HR Rockwell hardness scale is suitable for: hardness measurement of testing molds, quenching, quenching and tempering heat-treated parts.
The HV Vickers hardness scale is suitable for measuring the hardness of samples and parts with small areas and high hardness values, the hardness of infiltrated layers or coatings after various surface treatments, and the hardness of thin materials.
New range of universal hardness testers
Different from the traditional universal hardness tester: the new generation universal hardness tester uses force sensor technology and closed-loop force feedback system to replace the weight-loading control model, making the measurement simpler and the measured value more stable.
