1. Operation method:
Turn on the power and wait a moment to set temperature.
Adjust the handwheel so that the lower mold is parallel to the lower platform. Place the specimen with the observation surface facing down at the center of the lower mold. Turn the handwheel counterclockwise for 10 to 12 turns to sink the lower mold and sample. The height of the sample should generally not be higher than 1cm. .
Pour in the inlay powder so that it is parallel to the lower platform, then press the upper mold. Apply downward force on the upper mold with your left finger, and then turn the handwheel counterclockwise with your right hand to make the upper mold sink until its upper surface is lower than the upper mold. platform.
Quickly close the cover, then turn the handwheel clockwise until the pressure light comes on, then add 1 to 2 more turns.
Keep warm at the set temperature and pressure for 3 to 5 minutes.
When sampling, first turn the handwheel counterclockwise to relieve pressure until the pressure lamp goes out, then turn counterclockwise 5 times, then turn the octagonal knob clockwise, push the upper module downwards, and demold the sample.
Turn the handwheel clockwise to eject the upper mold until the lower edge of the upper mold is parallel to the lower platform.
Use a softcloth with a wooden hammer to knock off the upper mold. Note that the upper mold is hot and cannot be held directly with your hands.
Raise the lower mold and take out the sample after exposure.
2. Precautions for the metallographic inlay machine are as follows:
During the sample pressing process, please select the appropriate heating temperature, constant temperature time, pressure and filling material, otherwise the sample will be uneven or cracked.
The edges of the upper and lower modules must be inspected and cleaned before each sample is mounted. Do not use too much force when cleaning to avoid scratching the control module.
The hot mounting machine is not suitable for samples that will produce volatile and sticky substances at the mounting temperature.
Clean the machine promptly after use, especially the residue on the module, to prevent it from affecting the next use.
It is strictly prohibited to open the equipment door cover at will during the heating process of the metallographic mounting machine to avoid danger to the operator due to the hot air.
3. when using metallographic inlay machines need to know below:
Sample preparation is the key to preparation before using the metallographic mounting machine. The sample to be tested needs to be cut into appropriate sizes and the surface must be clean and flat.
Select the appropriate mounting mold size based on sample size and needs.
Put the sample in the mounting mold, making sure it is in the correct position inside the mold and avoiding sample movement
A large amount of testing is required, and an inlay machine with high production capacity should be selected, such as an inlay machine with a high degree of automation.
