Introduction of superficial rockwell & Plastic Rockwell hardness tester

dad

Rockwell hardness test is divided into rockwell hardness test and superficial

Rockwell hardness test.

Comparation of superficial rockwell hardness tester and rockwell hardness tester :

Test force of rockwell hardness tester:60kg,100kg,150kg;

Test force of superficial rockwell hardness tester:15kg,30kg,45kg;

Scale of rockwell hardness tester:HRA, HRB, HRC and other 15 kinds of scales;

Scale of superficial rockwell hardness tester:HR15N, HR30, HR45N, HR15T

and other 15 kinds scales;

These two types of rockwell hardness tester in the operation method, reading method, test principle are the same, and both according to the degree of automation can be divided into manual, electric, digital display, automatic four levels,  just because the tester force value of superficial rockwell hardness is smaller than the ordinary one, so the superficial rockwell hardness can be measured thinner workpiece.

Application of Plastic Rockwell hardness tester :

Suitable for plastic, hard rubber, friction material, synthetic resin, aluminum tin alloy, cardboard and other materials hardness determination.

Main test scales: HRE, HRL, HRM, HRR;

Measuring range: 70-100HRE, 50-115HRL, 50-115HRM, 50-115HRR ;

There are three main types of plastic Rockwell hardness indenter, respectively: steel ball indenter: 1/8 “, 1/4 “, 1/2 ;

Classification : Plastic Rockwell hardness tester according to the degree of automation can be divided into : manual plastic Rockwell hardness tester, electric plastic Rockwell hardness tester, digital display plastic Rockwell hardness tester 3 kinds.  The reading mode : manual and electric are dial reading , digital display is the touch screen automatic reading ;

Rockwell hardness test standards for plastics, including the American Rockwell Standard ASTM D785 for plastics, the international Rockwell standard ISO2039 for plastics, and the Chinese Rockwell standard GB/T3398.2,JB7409 for plastics.

HRA – Suitable for testing the hardness of hard or thin materials, such as carbide, carburized hardened steel, hardened steel strips, thin steel plates, etc.

HRB- Suitable for testing of medium hardness materials, such as medium and low carbon steel after annealing, malleable cast iron, various brasses and most bronzes, various duralumin alloys after solution treatment and aging.

HRC -Suitable for testing carbon steel, alloy steel and tool steel after quenching and low temperature tempering, and also for measuring chilled cast iron, pearlite malleable cast iron, titanium alloy and so on.

HRD- Suitable for pressing depth between A and C scale of various materials, such as surface heat treatment strengthened steel sample, pearlite malleable cast iron.

HRE- Suitable for testing of general cast iron, aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, bearing alloy and other soft metals.

HRF- Suitable for toughening brass, red copper, general aluminum alloy, etc.

HRH- Suitable for soft metal alloys such as aluminum, zinc and lead.

HRK- Suitable for bearing alloys and other soft metal materials.
