Fasteners are important elements of mechanical connection, and their hardness standard is one of the important indicators to measure their quality.
According to different hardness test methods, Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers hardness test methods can be used to test the hardness of fasteners.
The Vickers hardness test is in accordance with ISO 6507-1, the Brinell hardness test is in accordance with ISO 6506-1, and the Rockwell hardness test is in accordance with ISO 6508-1.
Today, I will introduce the micro-Vickers hardness method to measure the surface decarburization and the depth of the decarburized layer of fasteners after heat treatment.
For details, please refer to the national standard GB 244-87 for the measurement limit regulations on the depth of the decarburized layer.
The micro-Vickers test method is carried out in accordance with GB/T 4340.1.
The sample is generally prepared by sampling, grinding and polishing, and then placed on the micro-hardness tester to detect the distance from the surface to the point where the required hardness value has been reached. The specific operation steps are determined by the degree of automation of the hardness tester actually used.
