Test of Rockwell hardness tester is one of the three most commonly used methods of hardness testing.
Specific features are as following:
1) Rockwell hardness tester is easier to operate than Brinell and Vickers hardness tester , can be read directly , bringing high working efficiency.
2) Compared with Brinell hardness test, the indentation is smaller than the one of Brinell hardness tester, so it has no damage to the surface of the workpiece, which is more suitable for the detection of finished parts of cutting tools, molds, measuring tools, tools, etc.
3 ) Because of the pre-detection power of Rockwell hardness tester , the influence of slight surface irregularity on the hardness value is less than that of Brinell and Vickers, and it is more suitable for mass production of mechanical and metallurgical thermal processing and semi-finished or finished product inspection.
4) It has a smaller load of superficial Rockwell hardness tester in the testing, can be used to test the hardness of shallow surface hardening layer or surface coating layer.
